Hot Summer Night!

Oh, how we are going to miss the beautiful South! This picture was taken at sunset on Lake Murray where we spent Sunday evening visiting with a co-worker of Mark's at his beautiful home. We sat on the dock and just dangled our feet in the warm water and breathed in the hot, humid summer air as we watched the boats and geese float by. It was one of those quiet and peaceful summer evenings that you just never want to end. There is a uniqueness about the south that is so endearing! I can't put my finger on what exactly it is that I've fallen in love with about it. Maybe it's the people or the way of life or just the pure beauty of our surroundings. Whatever it is, this place will always be dear to my heart.

Lindsey, I'm so glad you had this year to endear another home to your heart. We spend a week in Georgia a few years ago and I know what you mean about that something special. I'm so glad we have these experiences to warm our hearts.

Mark,
I have misplaced your contact information. Please give me a call. You need to stop by Boise on your way to Oregon.

Hey Swensens! I was looking on Rachelle (my cousin) and Curtis' blog and saw you tracked them down. I thought "Swensen...Swensen...that sounds familiar" so I looked up your blog. I don't know if you remember me, but I was on Mark's PLC year when he came back from his mission. Anyway, we are in Columbia, too. I thought that lake looks familiar. My husband is getting his Graduate Degree in Business Management. I know you guys are getting ready to move, but it fun to make the connection. Good luck in Oregon.

Hey Lindsey, Ben just interviewed in Portland, Oregon a few weeks ago and was extended an offer. We looked to see how close Portland is to where you are moving and it is about a hour away. We haven't made any decisions yet since he is still waiting on another offer but if we move to Oregon expect a visit from us!

Lindsey, Hi! I'm so glad you found me, I've tried to keep tabs on you guys through Jennie & Mern (Mark's cousins) & Kimber & Heather(we see them 1 or 2 times a year), but this is WAY better! So fun to see how you are & what you're up to. Are you guys going crazy with all those little ones? I guess we should never think we've got it rough because someone else can always out-do us. 3 2& under, huh? I'm very impressed. Take care & we'll keep tabs on you through the blog. SO good to re-connect! Rachelle
BTW, will you tell Mark that whenever anyone talks about passing gas I think of him? Between his fascination with the topic & the story of him & G Jake & Natalie Bone, he will be forever connected to that bodily function in my mind. How sweet, right?
