More of Hawaii

ALOHA from Hawaii

Our family just got back from beautiful Hawaii!  We met up with my parents and my brother Greg and his cute family in Oahu for a week and took all the kiddies.  It definitely wasn't the relaxing vacation that I envisioned of myself laying by the pool getting a great tan with Logan sleeping next to me in his pack'n play & the kids over splashing in the pool.  No! It was quite the opposite.  Vacations with kids are hard, especially with a 6 month old.  However, we LOVED being with family and playing with cousins and we made great memories. It was so fun exploring the island and the little towns, stopping for snow cones and taking surf lessons on the North Shore.  The resort at Ko Olina was so beautiful and my kids loved the beach and the pools.  I loved the Aloha spirit and am already missing waking up to the beautiful palm trees and the view of the ocean.

Surf lessons on the North Shore with the legendary, Buttons, for our instructor.

Lezlee comes to OREGON!

My sister came to visit for the weekend! It was so good for my heart & so fun to be with her! She is one of my most favorite people in the world!  I picked her up from the airport and we spent the day in Portland, shopping and eating!  Just like old times.  The next day, we took her to our favorite donut shop, Nutcakes, before heading out to the Newport coast.  We toured the Yaquina Head Lighthouse and ate clam chowder slumgolian style at the Chowder Bowl before going out for Gelato later that night.  It was so fun to show her where I live and to have her meet the wonderful people in my life that she's heard so much about.  My favorite part was staying up until 2AM going through my closet.  We were laughing so hard at some of the things I've been hanging on to. You never know! Maybe pointed boots will come back in style?!?!  Awe! Sisters are the BEST, especially mine!
