Mad Platter

Macy painting her mosaic!

Macy and Caleb

Carter painting his truck!

Macy, Karlee and Nicholas's hand and footprints.
Their names and birth dates will be written on them and then glazed over. I can't wait to display them in their rooms!

The whole crew (Left to Right): Macy, Caleb R., Savannah, Carter and Caleb J.

Don't forget the babies...Cole, Karlee and Nicholas! We are missing Brody! :-(

Today, I took all of the kids and met up with some good friends at The Madd Potter and then Chick-fil-A for lunch! We had such a great time painting pottery and letting the kids run around! When we first moved to South Carolina, I signed Macy up for Gymboree classes so we could get out of the house and do something fun together. She absolutely loved it and we ended up making the greatest friends there! Since the twins were born, we haven't been going to Gymboree but we still get together with everyone for playdates every few weeks! It's always so good for me to get out of the house! Our kids get along so well and I just love all of the girls! They are such a huge help when ever we go anywhere and are always so quick to pick up one of the twins or help me with Macy! You guys are the best! Macy is usually the only girl so we were glad that Savannah came today! The boys are so cute! They always want to hold Macy's hand and she usually doesn't let them! Sorry, (both) Calebs! She'll wish she had one day! Thanks for such a fun day!

Little Helper!

I caught these classic photos of Macy putting away the utensils in her panties. She did a pretty good job! I did find some big spoons mixed in with the little spoons but hey...I'll take it! Now, if I could only teach her to vacuum the house. She usually runs around in her panties all day. She starts off with pants on but then it always ends up like this. I think it's too much work to get everything off when she has to go potty so she prefers to keep it simple!

Bedtime for Babies!

(Remember to push pause on the music so you can listen to this!)

I can't believe my babies are 3 months old today! This past month has flown by compared to the first two. Life has gotten so much easier. That doesn't mean there aren't days when I want to pull my hair out! But we have our little routine down and Nicholas and Karlee are just happier babies. Nicholas is my little alarm clock and is up at 7:30 on the dot every morning. I usually have to run in to his room and grab him before he wakes up Karlee. Karlee, on the other hand, will sleep until 10am if I let her. Lately, they've both been getting up at around the same time. I love, LOVE walking in to their room and seeing them both wiggling and smiling up at me. I get the biggest smiles in the morning and a lot of "cooing." I love this stage!

Karlee is my little wiggler! She manages to wiggle out of all of her blankets and even her pajamas. I always can find her with one arm up, out through the neckline of her night gown. One morning, I even found her with one leg sticking completely out of her footed pajamas. She had popped the buttons open and wiggled out. No matter where I put her at night, she manages to scoot over to Nicholas and has usually turned 90 degrees. The funniest thing happened on Sunday. I was getting Nicholas ready for church and Mark was in the shower and I had put Karlee in the baby bouncer. It wasn't long after, Macy started yelling "Uh, oh! Karlee's out!" I went running in to see what was the matter and found Karlee on the floor on her tummy. She had scooted right out of the bouncer and flipped over on to the floor. Now I strap her in every time and I don't think she likes it. She's always trying to buck out! I have a feeling she is going to be my really quiet child that is in to everything.

Nicholas, on the other had, is such a boy! He sweats, he stinks but he sure loves his mamma! He is such a snuggler (unlike any of my girls) and loves to be packed around. He cries the second he sees me until I pick him up or walk away. Out of sight, out of mind! He is getting huge! He is already in size 3 diapers while Karlee is still in size 2 and he is already wearing 6 month stuff. I love to dress him like a little man in polos and khakis! He LOVES soft blankets and always has to have one held between his hands and next to his cheek to fall asleep. Oh, and don't forget the binkie. He'll only take the Soothie but he can't keep it in. I practically have to wrap it up with him in his blanket to keep it from falling out. It's so frustrating! I've thought about using one of my head bands to keep it in. There is something about his hands that I just love. Even when he eats he has them clasped tight right up under his chin. I have to fight him to get the bottle in because he won't move his hands. He just discovered them yesterday and has been staring at them all day. It's great because he actually has something to entertain him besides me. He is a lot of drama but oh, so cute!

So, life is definitely a lot of fun right now at our house!

Happy 29th Birthday, Mark! (Thursday, April 10th)

Happy Birthday, Mark! I know this will completely embarrass you but I just wanted to tell you how much I love you! I am so lucky to be married to you! You are such a wonderful husband and father and my closest friend. Thanks for making me laugh out loud every day and for bringing so much happiness in to our home. I appreciate all that you do to help me with Macy and the twins. I know you never get a break. I have no idea how I would do this without you! You are such an amazing person and I love everything about you... your charm, your sense of humor, your good looks but most of all, the way you make me feel so special. Thank you for treating me so good! I am so proud of all that you have accomplished. We all love you so much! Happy Birthday!

My little Macy!

Macy is such the poser! She is getting so big and has become very independent and stubborn. You wouldn't ever think so from the sweet little picture above! I've had to learn what battles are worth fighting with her, like when she insists on wearing the same dress day after day or when she wants to wear her Sunday shoes to the park. It drives me crazy but I've learned to let things like that go. I've never seen one so determined to do things by herself. She insists on dressing herself and if I even try to help her because I see her struggling I get told "No, Mom, let me try" or "No, I'm trying to help you!" (which doesn't make sense but it's what I say to her when I'm really trying to help her). Yet she has the cutest personality. She always comments on my hair when I do it or when I put on a cute shirt or dress. She'll say "So pretty, Mom! I love it!" in the sweetest, most sincere voice. She is such the little princess too. She always wants to wear a dress and if we go anywhere, she runs to get her purse. Like mother like daughter! What a little doll, though! We sure love her!

Nicholas and Karlee

Just tell me if I ever post too many pictures of Nicholas and Karlee! They are too cute together not to! I can't believe these babies are mine and that they actually came together! It amazes me to think they were once inside of me when I see how big they are getting! For some reason they must have needed each other to be here at the same time. It'll be interesting to watch as the years unfold but for now they are just beginning to notice each other. Karlee has been pretty good at tuning Nicholas out when he cries, but now she is definitely starting to notice that the squeaky wheel gets the grease! She is tired of him getting all of the attention! I would be too if I were her. Besides, she is the big sister!

This Girl can Twirl!

Macy has turned in to quite the little dancer as of late. I use to think her destiny was singing... until now. I have no idea where she got her moves but she sure can twirl for a two year-old. I especially LOVE the high kicks! Watch out! We've been really in to the movie "Enchanted," so much so, that I bought the soundtrack. Above is Macy dancing to "Ever After" by Carrie Underwood. We listen to it "Again" and "Again" and "Again" so Macy can dance her little heart out!
