American Girl Doll Store (a.k.a Disneyland for Girls)

When Macy's best friend, Emma, moved away last December, we promised the girls we would take them to the American Girl Doll store in Washington for their birthdays, which just happen to be exactly one month apart (Macy - August 27th & Emma - September 27th).  We counted down the days all summer long and it was every bit worth the wait! The whole experience was just incredible and sharing it with our best girlfriends made it that much more memorable. You couldn't wipe the smiles off of our faces!

Busting with excitement & ready for our 5 hour drive to Lynnwood, WA! Love the minivan! I don't think Toni and I ever stopped talking the whole trip! Time went by so fast!

First pit stop for food! Dairy Queen!

Giddy with excitement!

We checked in to our hotel & went straight to the Alderwoord Mall.  The girls stared RUNNING when they saw the store.

Then the magic begins....

We got to the store two hours before closing and practically had the whole store to ourselves.  Perfect timing to get their dolls hair done and ears pierced.  I'm so glad we did it that first night because the next day, there was a big line for the salon.

 Doll Services!
Dolls apparently need pampering too!

 Getting Started
Kanani needed some serious help with her hair! They combed right through the mess and styled it so cute!
Karlee's look-a-like doll also got a new do!

Very happy girls!

Back at the hotel...

Tuckered out!

The next morning, the girls couldn't wait to go back! We got to the store right when it opened along witheverybody else! It was packed that morning and we were so grateful that we had had those quiet hours the night before! Our lunch reservations were at noon so we had a few hours to shop & browse some more! There is that much to take in!

Lunch Time!

The girls received birthday crowns for themselves and their dolls & little goodie bags!

AG does it right!
The proof is in the details...

Being sung to! Karlee's birthday isn't until January but we threw her in the mix so she would feel special too!

Yummy cake! The best part!

I think we spent a total of 7 hours in the store alone taking it all in, shopping, eating, and getting the dolls styled.  It's an experience in itself and one that I will always treasure with my girls because of how much they loved it! I think I loved it as much as they did, maybe even more! Shhh!!! Don't tell!
