"Is there an Emergency?"

In all my running around this morning to get the kids fed and Macy ready for preschool, I get a phone call from the 911 operator to ask if everything is okay! I said, "Oh, no! Did someone call you?" He replied, "Yes!" He assumed that I had more than one children at home. I then explained I have twins and a 3 year old. I have no idea what he heard or how long the phone was connected, but I KNEW EXACTLY WHO THE CULPRIT WAS... my sweet little boy, Nicholas! I'd seen him carrying the phone around that morning. I mean, what are the chances that a 1 year old can push the exact numbers to call 911. I'm sure it happens all the time but I am so embarrassed it happened to me! This kid is going to be the death of me!

He's pretty cute, though! Buzz cut and all!

How funny! When I got a new phone, I took the SIM card out of the old one and gave it to my oldest (3.5 at the time), not realizing it would still dial 911. She walks up to me talking on the phone, and I thought she was just pretending until she handed it to me and told me the lady wanted to talk to me. I was so embarrassed!

He is a cutie, but apparently he is what I endearingly call, "trouble". I have one too. Hang in there.

UNBELIEVABLE LINDSEY! I was DYING! I can't believe that little stinker. He is a cute son of gun! That is one to remember! Maybe he knew that you needed help this morning and so he thought he would call! And now you know if you ever pass out or your house is on fire he'll know who to call!!! He is a smarty!

That's a great story. Very funny (especially since it didn't happen to me)

I enjoyed the post before this one too. I am sure the incidences were spread out but I just visualized you going from room to room picking up "wounded" children. You are amazing! Keep laughing! LOVE YOU

Few weeks ago Tyler and his uncle were wrestling and having fun, Tyler screaming the whole time. About 15-20 minutes later three squad cars were outside asking if everything was okay. Talk about embarassing!! Turns out my brother-in-law had the phone in his pocket and it dialed the emergency button somehow. It took the police a few minutes to be assured everything was fine. They had to see Tyler, uncle and phone. :)

These kids just change too fast... I can't believe how big Nicholas is! He really is darling, love the buzz cut. Sounds like you have your hands even more full than I do with just Evan. Boys really are different than girls. I love having both.

We haven't found a place to rent yet. But I am crossing my fingers we find a decent house. Can you imagine having three kids in Fieldstone, the kids stuff could fill the place alone. I can't tell you how weird it is that we are really going back. It will be so sad to not have anyone there!

Lindsey...if it makes you feel better Grace did the same thing a few months ago. The 911 operator had to keep asking questions to make sure that I was speaking freely such as, "is anyone forcing you to say that you are okay?" etc. I was so embarrassed also. What can you do? It sounds like you are loving Corvallis.
